the background you can see the tower Columbus.
Originally the Theatre Santa Creu , was restored in 1847, in response to the birth of the Gran Teatro del Liceo. It is the building seen to the right of the watercolor on the same Theatre Square, where stands the monument to Pitarra (left).
A brutal competition was created between the "Crusade" and "high school students", which was lampooned by Pitarra confrontation into a work of theater. Won the Catalan bourgeoisie against the aristocracy and caused the decline of the Teatro Principal, which is also called Catalan theater.

I have started to paint in the center, slightly tilted to the Ramblas and backlit in this wonderful morning, with his ambientillo, the Main Theatre, Columbus in background at left, the Theatre Square.

We met from 25 to 30 watercolor.

Before arriving at our meeting on Wednesday, leaving the subway down the Ramblas I spent the Hotel Oriente. Old and singular hotel, between the two major theaters, with history, where they stayed very famous clients, artists and politicians.
I've had time to do this pic in twenty minutes.
