Famous Sportsmen Who Have Had Hernias

64-72 years ... while the people, indifferent to the fate of the villain, danced zortziko Lanz ...

Malaga 0 - Osasuna 1. Goal Sergio
Sunday, Monday and Tuesday before Ash Wednesday (this year 2011, 6, 7 and 8 March), there is the carnival Lanz. The big day is Tuesday. There are no time: the characters come out at noon and dusk.

Carnival of Lanz (Navarra), as we know it today has its origin in the desire of the brothers Caro Baroja (Pio and July ) to recover a party, with civil war, had been banned by the Franco authorities. Both were recorded in the testimony of the oldest in the village, and in 1964, thanks to the collaboration of José Esteban Uranga , got permission from the Civil Governor to organize and write a 10-minute film: "El Carnaval de Lanz."

Eight years later, in 1972, Pius and Julius found in "Navarra, the four seasons" customs, celebrations .., in short, culture to be lost in a land that, from For over a decade, was ceasing to be agricultural and livestock, and leaving people to live in cities. And in that effort listed uses, customs and festivals in many parts of Navarre.

I do not know if the images I present (drawn from the documentary, 1972) are the same as those of 64. Either way, the flavor that has all the documentary and especially the final dance scene with these older men dancing dressed in black, is impressive.

Let us see the images recorded by Pío Caro Baroja and listen to texts by his brother. Characters appear loaded with symbolism: A Ziripot natured, moving in great strides, attacked by a man-horse (Zaldiko) blacksmiths mysterious iron horse masks troublemakers (Txatxoak) and the most important character: Honey Otxin (Miguel " servant?), a bandit in which it is projected that dark side we all have and that is tried, shot dead and then burned at the stake, while the people, indifferent to the fate of the villain, danced Zorztiko Lanz.

Two drawings

pen-portrait drawing
Following the exercise of drawing portraits of acquaintances in the world of painting and drawings, this past week I did this portrait of a fellow thieves notebooks, blog where he participated with the travel notebook.
This time I made previously a pencil drawing not to stray from its proportions, which in an attractive woman, is very important.
I find it easier to portray a man than a woman.
The pictured, please tell me that there is a lot like her.

Atondo crime. Judgement and decision: garrote (2) The crime of Atondo

Plaza
Council: Territorial Court and jail
Pamplona. It's January 7, 1885. By 12 noon, the Council Square and points near the Territorial Court was packed by a crowd eager to witness the hearing of the case against Eguía Toribio. They had taken precautions to prevent avalanches from the crowd that struggled to get into the visiting room of the prison, which could only be a fraction. By the time he opened the door, already established the Tribunal, and the accused Toribio Eguia, was on the bench.

Attorney
Once the rapporteur, Mr. Valencia, read the facts and the experts brought to the attention of the court that the pastor of Atondo , Manuel Martiarena, 83, had received 12 stab wounds and the housekeeper, Martina Babacan, died from stab wounds 9, the proposed prosecution witnesses begin the conference. Valentine
Olza Ervin (Atondo sacristan), Manuel OSAC (guard mount) Juan Ibero (Atondo altar boy), Marcelina Tortejada (water carrier of the house), and Francisca Francisco Alvizu Aldave (Atondo neighbors), Miguel Jauregui (Civil Guard), Manuel Echarri (schoolmaster), D. Domingo Pérez (pastor of Aldama), D. Antonio Gortari (Ororbia surgeon), and Micaela Miguel Erro Erro (respectively, the owner of the "Fonda La Perla" and sister of the former), D. Iñarra Bruno (President of Casino Eslava), the warden of the prison and 2 Eguía fellow prisoners ... all of them and some others paraded before the Court and all of his testimony said Toribio undoubtedly Eguía as author of the double murder and robbery.
But of all these testimonies I will highlight the children's teacher Manuel Echarri. And consider that, to make matters worse, was proposed by the prosecution. Teacher says:
"that was friendly with Eguía whom he regarded as man of sense, that days before the crime Atondo, told the defendant that had a knife and revolver, and had formed a project that was expected to provide a good Christmas. What then considered him worthy of their friendship, though he believed himself capable of committing a robbery or other crime, not as serious as the killing of Atondo " .

Serve this testimony to show, among others, two things clear:
  • that crime, with a complaint in time, could have been avoided.
  • Eguía and should not be in their right mind discussing your project with the teacher.

Defense
proposed by the defense, both Dr. Landa, as Dr. Ubago raised the big question " is Eguía an evil or sick? ". And to get the answer, this is data that provided both:
  • that the defendant has a family history of mental illness.
  • that
12.12 .82 and the 02.01.1983 (three weeks) had two separate processing stroke that caused him, in addition to loss of consciousness, delirium, sardonic laugh (seizure and contraction of the muscles of the face), right hemiplegia ( Toribio dragging a leg and was unable to catch a ball with his right hand) ... a brain injury that affected his behavior.
  • that because it does not have his mental faculties intact, lacking moral sense, has become a drunk and is not accredited in their right mind. It has even dropped his own self-preservation.
  • that has become an insane murderer and therefore should be removed from society.
The Civil Governor himself, Tom Moreno, after his arrest in person at the Fonda La Perla, said he considered the defendant a fool for his indifferent attitude to be arrested ("let me finish the coffee" recalled that he told the detainee).
Santos also Iribarren, professor at the Military Academy of Toledo High School told Eguía observed a radical change. He considered, in principle, a good man as recommended by the Director for the internship position, a position he played with zeal Toribio. Then change by bad company and alcohol abuse. He also recalled that a family member asked his advice to enter any school.
Others declared in the same line: a sinfundamento, extravagant, crazy, lunatic, deranged ...
you transcribe speech in similar testimony as curious as tells the reporter. (Incidentally, maybe it's a sad example of the attitude of justice and journalism from the late nineteenth to the Basque language):

"Francisco Larue, Labrador Yabar (Basque).
    - The President: How old are you V?
    - Larue. Thirty-three years tr ... ... no ... forty y. .. ( the witness puts his hand to his head, runs and fails to express the number of years that counts).
    - will V. More than twenty-five?
    - Thirty more ...
    - V Do you swear to tell the truth in what you ask?
    - swear ... no sir.
    - How not swear by God, etc. V. etc.
    - swear ... bah ... swear ... a (here a bad word) ever so. "
The Ombudsman considers that the testimony is important, but do better than his wife. And this, Felipa Goicoa, says that" some day stayed processing at home, which after dinner quietly and pray the rosary, suddenly broke into horrible curses and committed a thousand follies and extravagances, so they believed a stark mad "
Here ended the first day the hearing

Dibujo de la sala del juicio. De espaladas, Rafael Escobedo escoltado por dos guardias civiles ardias-civiles-efe

Thursday January 8, also at 12 and with a very numerous audience that "filled the room and avenues," began the second day of trial oral.
First Mr. clerk read a letter from the defense in which he stated the defendant "Exempt from responsibility."
then followed the intervention of the Attorney D. Francisco Valcárcel who, after lamenting the frequency in recent years, crimes "in this country that there is no recall in its history," made a biographical portrait and moral Eguía Toribio:
  • Carlist authorities will instructed a process violation
  • a failing grade dropped out
  • drink
was the cause of stroke which produced the Hemiplegia
  • has now become a "vagabond", away from his family, dedicated to live at the expense of others
  • Eguía has not killed anyone. Killed "a minister of the Most High that had just raise their hands Host Sacrosanct"
  • And housekeeper, if he still had life and could give him away, as it Eguía has confessed, he plunged the dagger into the heart.
and the prosecutor asks the same question that the Doctors: "Is Toribio a madman or a villain?". And he answered himself that Eguía is evil because:
  • has not been proven that brain injury necessarily involve a loss of intellectual capacity or free will.
  • is sane so intended by Eguía after the crime: asking advice of counsel and other data that show the distinction, by the defendant, between good and evil.
  • 's argument and Ubago Landa Doctors are "simple rigor of school." All tend to look crazy mental hospital in any individual.
And when the prosecutor in the rating of crime, stated that article 517 enters two aggravating normal (premeditation and abuse of trust) and a very special aggravating: Eguía has killed a 83-year old decorated with the aura of the priestly character.
Therefore Mr. Valcárcel, "revealing the emotion produced the performance of his painful duty," Eguia calls for the death penalty.
In response to Mr Prosecutor, D. Juan Cancio Mena, Defense Counsel, began his speech by stressing the importance that was at the time of judging, let out the feelings and emotions.
rectified, then the portrait he had drawn Eguía Attorney:
  • Eguía honradísimos son of parents with a family history of alienation,
  • after the civil war, seeking a degree, he studied surveyor,
  • for good behavior was recommended at the military academy
  • but a mental disorder (with an apparent head injury) was caused by a change in behavior.
  • all the experts agree that Eguía is a madman, a view shared by the witnesses
  • rejected the prosecutor's opinion about what was said by the doctors ("rigorous high school)
It ended
Eguía recognizing that he was the author of a crime, but he was not responsible for lack of free will. Therefore requested that he recluyera, no punishment for his crime, but to avoid further damage to society.
Eguia, Mr. Mena said, was the author of a horrible crime, but even more terrible the show to be offered to execute a madman who talks about his crime with cold indifference, impassive climb the scaffold and, probably, breathed his last burst into a stupid laugh.
After extending the record of the trial, he was terminated.

Four days later, on Monday Jan. 12 sentencing.
Of the seven "recitals", as discussed so far, we are interested in 4:
"whereas in the actual murder circumstance did not attend the first defense article eighth alleged by the defense because the madness that frees from responsibility the agent is one that prevents good from evil, that turns off the light of reason, stunned the understanding, not a minor injury of intelligence ... "( NOTE at the end)
SEEN items ...
BUGS we must condemn and condemn Eguía Toribio Esparza ... to the DEATH penalty GARROTE ...
This decision was notified the same day the defendant, who refused to sign it so they had to do two witnesses.
The chronicles at the time of notification of the sentence, Eguia was quiet and very talkative, saying, among other things, that He was aware that his great crime was for him a great punishment.

NOTE:
One is horrified with what joy was given the death penalty [so that in this case we are talking about 1885, and not the war in 1936 - 39 and subsequent dictatorship were issued with summary judgments. And least of the worst punishment of death: the heinous murders carried out by ETA (I speak in past, my hope and my desire) without even a trial summary and jaleadas by many that soon will deny] without having the slightest doubt when Toribio Eguía for all alarms shoot today.
If it is quite debatable that "the madness that releases of liability is only that which prevents ... turns out the light of reason ...., which overwhelms the intellect ..," it says terrible decision (the light of reason, understanding, has many degrees of intensity), to say nothing if we speak of the will, the emotions, feelings and moral values.
has fallen into my hands a document, but later, for a few months, the trial and execution of defendant, relates exactly to the case of Toribio Eguía. This is nothing less than the opinion of Juan Giné and Partagas (1836-1903) was one of the pioneers of psychiatry in Spain. A student of his (then a professor at San Sebastian) which appeared as an expert witness in the case of the "Crime of Atondo" Victor Acha, surely horrified, asks for your opinion on this unfortunate case. This is the view of Juan Giné:
"The judges, with our broken code in hand, neither understand nor want to understand the moral idiocy. I know from experience. Unfortunately last many more years of these idiots confusion of emotion with the wicked, so many, at least, as it took to distinguish before the law crazy manic, melancholic or hallucinations, the criminals responsible. All admit the general idiocy, everyone agrees that exist in the human beings whose phrenic development does not reach the common level of development of psychic skills, but where do they take the measure of the degree of this development? Only in compliance with an order of powers or abilities: the intellective. As if humans had no more than intelligence! Why do they forget to measure the extent of the feelings and emotions, and the force of volitions? The courts start the irresponsible and stupid idiot solely from their lack of intelligence, saying that if he is selfish, cruel, lecherous, greedy and dirty, is due to be unwise. As evidence of depression or emotional or moral debasement is primitive and not idiots necessary consequence of poor development of their intelligence, are so many idiots that have not yet been able to learn to read or write, or speak with a median correction, show themselves with their relatives caring, tender and grateful to those who care, and perfectly educable as regards the relations of domestic life ... ! They are blessed! Sort are, however, more talented people than average, since not only read and write grammatically and counted in accordance with arithmetic, but have learned languages, know how to draw and paint y. .. to imitate and counterfeit documents, and yet never, even starting from his early childhood, have expressed any feelings of affection, love, gratitude, love, justice, adherence to good and repulsed by evil, that underlie the indestructible bonds of family and society. Jails and prisons are surfeited of these individuals in childhood and adolescence populate the Houses of Reform, when young, the ship, confident that the sea has to improve, now adults, return home and are the scourge of the relatives and friends and often executioner grass. On the rare chance comes one another in their native mansion: the madhouse! "His brain, I have it written-paste crimen.Definamos is therefore the moral idiocy: an inborn defect in the development of affective faculties and particularly altruistic sentiments, with a more or less close to normal in the development of intellectual skills. MONTGAT - OUT TO SEA

Montgat coastal town, which borders Badalona and El Masnou. Old place where locals come to the beach in family plan. Few remnants remain today of those buildings and picnic areas at the time, even remembered that he had rows of wooden huts, some colors, which were rented for the family could be changed ... but all this, today there is nothing and what little remains, is affected by the law of costs and will shortly go to the ground.
a pity!
Today we have those of the Colla, the beach. Yes and did a day splendid.

Trojan Magnum Vs Normal

: Toribio Eguia (1) Mary and Severino

José Gutiérrez Solana garrotte (Alba de Tormes 10/12/1897)
The story of "crime Atondo "it had heard my mother sometimes. As she was becoming more difficult to remember the poem, I decided a couple of years ago (shortly before his death) records, and lately I have been interested to fill the gaps.
Briefly, things happened like this:
This happened in Pamplona, 10/15/1885
The November 22, 1884 Toribio Eguía Atondo killed the priest and his housekeeper . That same day he was arrested at La Perla (then Fonda) from Pamplona. The hearing of the trial took place 46 days after: 7 and 8 January 1985 in the High Court of Pamplona. E l Monday, June 12, was sentenced to death by garrote . On Thursday October 15, 1985, shortly after 8 am was publicly executed in the Vuelta del Castillo, near the portal Taconera. Surely it is the last public execution in Pamplona. Of about 30,000 who had Pamplona, attended 10,000, with a female majority.

version of my mother, Ramona Belzunegui
My mother met a girl this terrible story. Known as Casa Macaya , being at the entrance of the village, was the first place stood the poor and those used to bring a piece of paper with poems or stories that they sang or recited to achieve tip.
This is what she told me (hit the play , put maximum volume and, while you listen, read):
On 22 November
past 84
Portal late nineteenth Taconera
day terror and fright.
Here my pen to
and here my mind is erased.
a picture so horrible
like today includes Navarra.
Eguía Toribio on 21
the priest went home,
greeting his aunt
that it was kind

The priest will celebrate Mass and tells his love to give you lunch,

that while you are at home,
eating not fail.

According to my mother, the housekeeper of the priest was the sister of the mother of Toribio. Her aunt scolded him because he was a baldragas : see Aunt, go to Pamplona and back. Atondo All this happened in the 22.11.1884. Upon returning from Mass the priest found Aunt dead and killed the priest. Cree that knife. Toribio, will Atondo Pamplona, the Fonda (then) La Perla, taking the money.
a girl in La Perla (maid) noted that it was stained with blood and continued spying for the keyhole. They called police and then arrested him.
Considerations:
Although Ramona was rolling a bit with the date of the crime, the verse makes this clear: Toribio enters Atondo priest's house on November 21 and committed the double crime 22 .
My mother said that the mistress was the sister of the mother of Toribio. However, it is Eguia surname and Esparza, while the name the housekeeper is Babacan. Therefore, it might be Aunt, but second or third, but never the mother's sister. At the press of the time there are a couple of reviews that claim kinship. But at trial does not refer to it (strange because it would constitute an aggravating factor).
If the crime and the execution were in 1884-85 and my mother was born in 1917, would have heard the story about 1925. It therefore very striking that the " Atondo crime "still had such an impact 40 years later. Why? Why do the dead man was a priest? In to 50 killed with a hoe that of Unciti and did not have anywhere near as much impact.
My mother tries to recite a poem, a romance that just remember a dozen verses. The romance had to be done in 85 ("... the past 84 ..."). Compare the beginning of the poem ( Here my pen to and clears my mind here ...) with the Chronicle: "Tremble our hand and the pen does not know draw ... "says the chronicler of the execution. Is he, or someone who inspired him, who made the poem that my mother turn?

version Pio Baroja.
Pio Baroja, San Sebastian, born 28.12.1872, lived in Pamplona, in the Rue Neuve 30-2 º, from 81 to 86. His record is exceptional, and he saw with his eyes of a child (about to turn 13 years old) go under the house at 8 am on 15.10.1985, at the very Toribio. So he tells us in "Pio Baroja [ Complete Works, Vol VII. University of Chicago Press. Madrid, 1978 (fragment)]:
"One of the biggest impressions I received in Pamplona was to see pass in front of my house in New Street, to death an inmate, who had to run to the Vuelta del Castillo, before a bastion of the wall near the door of the Taconera. The prisoner was called Eguía Toribio and killed a priest and his niece in Aoiz . I was the defendant in a cart, wearing a hopa yellow with red spots (in greater detail, c CCOUNT Ostiz Sánchez, speaking Baroja's vision of the child: "... the defendant, in a cart with a yellow cover greatcoat red tongues round ...") and a hat on his head. Going embraced by several priests, one of which he had the cross, the car was among several rows of penitents with yellow candles in hand. They sang these responses, while the executioner walked on foot behind the car, and blew the death knell of all the churches of the city. Later in the afternoon, full of curiosity, knowing that it was still stiff on the gallows, I only see him, and I was watching him closely. He looked like a hideous ghost, dressed in black and spotted with blood. Her sandals without putting your feet. On returning home I could not sleep for printing, and the memory lasted me a long time. "
Tour jail to the gallows . Red dot: Baroja house
Considerations:
Pio Baroja The child should not have to understand either the name of the town where the crime occurred, said when she should have said Aoiz Atondo. There are a few web pages that repeat the mistake of Baroja.
What that the housekeeper was the niece of the priest does not appear in the press of the time.
As for the dress of the defendant, speaks to a kind of yellow robe and red spots (red tongues) and the cap. (These data will remember her dress for a future scenario).
strikes me that later in the afternoon, I see it "in black and spotted with blood."
Other match data provided by the daily press.

version La Perla:
Fonda La Perla in 1882. (Click)
This page provides a series of very important details and, in general, very accurate. I offer in its entirety by putting in bold the most important contributions:
"One of the most famous clients who went through the inn was Eguía Toribio, in this case the adjective is not known clearly corresponds to the illustrious.
have to go back to November 21, 1884 to know that this guy did night on the town Atondo Navarra, where the pastor, Manuel Martiarena, 83 , dinner and gave him shelter, probably moved by the condition of hemiplegic presented by the vagabund o. The next morning, while the priest was conducting mass in the church, Toribio Eguía had a discussion with Martina, the housekeeper , discussion is to be settled with a knife that claimed the lives of women. When the pastor arrived and saw the bloodied body of the woman quickly came to its shotgun, but Toribio Eguía did not have time to shoot, and hit him several stabs resulting in death.
Once committed the double crime, took the murderer into the house to steal taking gold and silver with a value of 690 pesetas and some small items. From there, after closing the door, he went to Pamplona.
s At half-past eis later that November 22 was Toribio Eguía its entry into the Fonda La Perla, where he was given room number 31 . He ate as if nothing had happened, and Micaela own Erro , Sister and sister of the founders of the establishment, helped him take off his jacket and shoes, and shortly after d eclararía it at the trial that "he had compassion for him impossible, and therefore helped him."
The surprise came when Toribio Eguía Micaela had no more qualms made counting money in front of her . For statements during the trial were known to rid Toribio packets coins, and the roles that wrapped threw under the bed. Detail had to ask at the inn to wash his clothes, explain the blood stains and spills as he had to kill a sheep. say went to bed at half past eight p.m., and also fell asleep leaving on the lamp.
The news of the death of the pastor of Atondo and his housekeeper spread like wildfire. And lest we have any doubt, while the next day Toribio Eguía to shave his beard out and buy new clothes , Micaela Erro was under the bed in paper packaging which could be read "Atondo - Religious and Clergy" and "Manuel Martiarena" . All these circumstances made Micaela promptly to your brother Miguel , and that put an understanding of the Governor in his suspicions.
Thus, at two in the afternoon, the Governor in person , Mr. Moreno, accompanied by some police officers, arrived at the inn, in the same room and proceeded to arrest Toribio Eguia, who only asked to be allowed to finish drink coffee. Police were able to recover in the room at the inn the stolen money key of the parsonage of Atondo.
From here it is only by pointing out that Toribio Eguía was tried and sentenced to hang . was executed on January 14, 1885 , passing the city's history by being the last hanging that took place in Pamplona. "
Considerations:
a pity that the story of the blog of Hotel La Perla, so well written and in such detail, contains just two errors this last paragraph caliber: Toribio was not hanged but suffered garrote. And in 2nd place, date of execution was 9 months later: October 15, 1885.

EL PUERTO DE BARCELONA

This Wednesday we have concentrated those of the Colla, before the post office. As is opposite the old port of Barcelona and I have little occasion to paint scenes of ports, which I like, I went directly to search by subject. I found this little place, whose perspective I liked. The sun, which is very important, given the strong cold wind which made and painted this view.
Here, I returned to my usual style, but without the marker. Pencil and watercolor.

After my watercolors I had a moment to draw the perspective that was just behind where I painted the watercolor. This is the post office building as seen from the "Moll of the whip", standing between palms and other trees.
I made this pic in about 10 minutes.

Effects Of Syphilis After Treatment

My trip in January to the Basque Country Series 2

this series ended with the drawings I did on my last trip to Euskadi
-
Saint Jean de Luz
image not used to going out on postcards because they are seen are those of crowded summer and the beautiful houses in a row to the sea.
I like more so, though I froze my hands. Fortunately I did very quickly.

-

Bayonne Plaza at the foot of the stairs of the cathedral. Here is me "hooked" a homeless man who already had avoided before. He stood next to me, very close to me ... and that was not the biggest problem, but was very full of wine, reeking of it, with a glass in his hand and throwing spit constantly, some, almost touching me.
I was giving the beating, all the time and when I left would not let me go.
also wanted to draw.

-
Bayonne et la Nive
This beautiful city where several rivers pass, I always come to draw some angle with a view. Sometimes the left bank in this case and others on the right. Again
I froze my hands and had a hard time recovering.

-
Restaurant in San Juan de Luz.
ate a menu of 12 € which was not bad between courses and I did this drawing.
the restaurant was not anything special. I did just to make me the wait shorter.
-
-
This is another restaurant in Bayonne. Also with a simple menu and passable.
Nor was a special room to draw.
-
-
Pasajes (Passages) from S. Juan
Here I did eat well. Very popular restaurant in that part of the coast for its fish cuisine. Ate some Kokotxas Pil-pil, fantastic.
The price was the kind that hurt a little, although the quality of the food cushioned the pain.
I decided, instead of painting the interior, drawing the mouth of the estuary in front of her window. The owner was thrilled and showed us several paintings by famous artists who had painted in that lovely town. Not inside like me, but what was my point.
Despite the emotions dela owner, had to pay the bill the whole piece.
-
All in Paperblanks Travelogue moleskine and the first pan.

I recommend visiting this town and eat at this restaurant that has for many years. A long time ago that I know and in the area, have opened another, probably also good, maybe a little cheaper, thanks to the success of the first.
If you go there, I recommend that instead of going to Pasajes de San Juan, you go to Pasajes de San Pedro. Are facing each other and passed with a boat that carries a boatman from looking like those vascorros lifelong sailor, very nice. Makes the trip in 5 minutes and everyone knows. Talk and chat with all of them, asking about their mother or father, or boyfriend, or how about the job ... is the same. He knows them all.
The trip costs 60 cents. Worth it!

Javier Marrodán
few days ago my friend Javier Marrodán posted this item a marriage of Cemborain , Severino Mendiburu and Maria Esparza, my uncles. I inserted a few verses of Narcissus, from where her brother died.
never forget that summer of 62 (with 12 bits) that I went with them Cemborain Esteban de Casa, "helping" Severino to reap, thresh, leading oxen (sooo, Chestnut ..!) and enjoying the sweetness of Mary.

Mary and Severino
When age was adding new ailments to poor health and uncertain of Mary, Severino said in a dose paper and color of pills to be managed. Every day he sat at the table in the large family kitchen and prepared with care mounds: two red and half Green for breakfast, a round white and effervescent powders for food, yellow and blue capsule for dinner ... His hands, hardened by dozens of crops, got used to that little ritual and sometimes elusive form of some tablets. Mary got carried away with a smile. In summer, the two sat at dusk on a stone bench along the façade of the former priest's house.

This colla dels dimecres Wednesday made his appointment at the Plaza del Angel, as in the past. Coming walking through the Gothic Quarter to 9.15 h passed under the bridge and I noticed the stream of light coming in force under the arch of the bridge to the light, leaving the rest in shadow pronounced. Both the show appealed to me, I took several photos to paint one day thinking in the study.
After the meeting and greetings with friends, I returned to that bridge. The light was not the same at 11 h. There changed. And I decided to paint it as we saw early. Standing made a simple drawing coordinates and recalling the impact of the morning in a stone bench began to paint. For the orientation of the shadows, I looked at the little screen of the device and has helped to guide me their addresses, as we had seen. I've got quite the effect I intended.
