Carnival of Lanz (Navarra), as we know it today has its origin in the desire of the brothers Caro Baroja (Pio and July ) to recover a party, with civil war, had been banned by the Franco authorities. Both were recorded in the testimony of the oldest in the village, and in 1964, thanks to the collaboration of José Esteban Uranga , got permission from the Civil Governor to organize and write a 10-minute film: "El Carnaval de Lanz."
